Procedure Details
This 27 y.o. had four full term babies and developed a large diastasis recti. This involves loss of the muscle function of the abdominal wall and the inability to keep the intestines and uterus inside . A hysterectomy was performed. We repaired the abdominal wall musculature and redraped the skin over. The preocedure took 3 hours and we let her go home the next morning.
