DIEP flap breast reconstruction and contralateral mastopexy

This 44 year old woman had a right breast cancer and underwent a right DIEP flap reconstruction with a left breast lift. She was in the hospital for 3 days total and went back to her normal activities within 3 weeks. We made her a nipple with her own tissue 3 months later. She is very happy that the DIEP flap was used for her reconstruction as she feels she has normal abdominal strength.
